I am excited to work with this wonderful group of students at PELC.
I have 30 years teaching experience in the traditional high school setting.
This spring, I left the public schools to build my own online math tutoring business.
Since most of my tutoring business takes place in the evenings, working with PELC in the mornings fits perfectly into my schedule.
I have been married to my wife Anne for 28 years, and we have 4 kids. All of them are grown and have their own careers.
I have one dog, a miniature Poodle-Bichon mix. Her name is Penny and she is one year old.
In my spare time, I enjoy vegetable gardening and harvesting the fruit from my apple trees, pear trees, plum trees, and grape vines.
I also enjoy camping and traveling, both within the United States and Beyond.
During our math class at PELC, we will be focusing on hands-on applications and investigations of middle school math, while also working on more traditional paper and pencil concepts.
If you have any questions or need help instructing your student in their math class at home, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to discuss math instruction with you.

Growing up on a lake in northern Minnesota, I have sacred memories of spending my days at the waters edge, falling in love with the wild and gentle beauty of our natural world. The beauty that lives in the tiniest patterns of a snail’s shell or in the touch of a smooth stone – whispering a thousand stories of magic and wonder. The kind of magic that awakens your heart. It is here where I found a passion for creating with natural materials and a deep connection to my creative soul within.
This connection continues to weave throughout my life as an artist and art educator living in beautiful Northfield, Minnesota. As an art educator, my passion is to create meaningful art experiences that honor and nurture the creative process. My classes are designed to hold space for courageous exploration. A messy and magical place to untether your creative soul. Teaching art in the Northfield community for the past 20 years has been a true gift. This journey continues at Untethered Heart Studio in the heart of downtown Northfield.

Hi! My name is Shelly Lundin, and I’m super excited to guide your children through their physical education experience. I have a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, and this will be my first opportunity to teach in a school setting. I have coached numerous sports, at many levels, and I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher. I spent the first part of my adult life supporting my husband in his career, which led us all around the world. During this time I was blessed to be at home with my children, as we navigated different cultures and languages and had so many opportunities to explore!
We are currently settled in Lakeville with our four children (three of which will attend Precious Earth Learning Center) and five pets!
I enjoy all kinds of activities, especially ones that involve moving my body with my family! Some of my favorites are yoga, volleyball, hiking, gardening, reading, cross country skiing, ice skating and learning hockey, backpacking and camping, rollerblading, caring for animals, travel and exploring new places, studying all types of natural health and living, and the constant practice of being present to enjoy it all!
I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all!
My name is Amber Reher and I am so excited to be a part of PreciousEarth Farm Learning Center! I have taught at River bend Nature Center and Prairie Creek Community School. Both places were able to tie together my love for teaching and experiencing the world with my students as well as passion for the natural sciences.
I am currently staying home with my two boys, Henry (4) and Clyde (1). We live on a little farm right outside of Kenyon and enjoy raising animals, gardening, and playing outside as much as possible.
